The Green Door Shop

It is indeed our privilege to introduce some of our artists to you. We truly believe they are extremely talented and you will appreciate them as much as we do. Because of our membership in the Indian Arts and Crafts Association (IACA) we have the chance to meet and visit with a great many Native American Artists as well as our own "home grown" artists. To view the full selection of their artwork click here.

Artist's Bios:

Lorraine Caté is the 2003 IACA artist of the year. She’s from the Santa Domingo Pueblo. She is one of the finest jewelry makers you will ever find. Her jewelry is graceful. It feels and moves like silk.

Mary Small of the Jemez Pueblo, NM was the 2002 IACA Artist of the Year. Her family name of TOYA has always been highly regarded as great pottery makers. Mary has received many honors for her work. Her distinctive style is always recognizable.

Eddie Morison is a sculptor from Telequa, OK. He works both in stone and wood. His impressionistic wood pieces feel alive to the touch and his limestone fossil rock sculptures are powerful. He always allows the fossils in the stone to help guide his work. He is truly an amazing artist.

Caroline Carpio is from the Iselta Pueblo, NM I think she has a very good chance at becoming the 2004 IACA artist of the year.

Richard Hatter is a local Missouri artist who can do the most amazing things with a piece of wood. Anyone will love his work especially if you love the outdoor life.

Richard Rhinesmith is a local Missouri artist who specializes in beautiful pens, wine stoppers, and other objects that are hand-turned from exotic woods. Originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, he also designs and creates quilts.
